On Monday (August 3rd), in support of the Major League Baseball's "Play Ball" initiative, Mayor Ardell Brede and the Rochester Honkers will host a Skills Camp with youth from the Boys & Girls Club at Mayo Field.

This event is part of the United States Conference of Mayors and their support for the "Play Ball" program. The event will take place Monday from 2pm until 3:30pm at Mayo Field. All participants will be given a ticket and invited back for the Honkers’ game that night against St. Cloud at 7:00p.

During the month of August 2015, or “Play Ball Month”, Mayors are implementing the initiative throughout cities with the goal of strengthening the connection between communities and the National Pastime.

Mayor Brede said, “I am very pleased that the Honkers’ are willing to partner with me and the Boys & Girls Club in this fun initiative”.
