Excelsior, MN (KROC-AM News) - The family of the Twin Cities couple has issued a statement confirming they were among those presumed killed when a float plane crashed Sunday near Seattle Washington.

Luke and Rebecca Ludwig were both 42 years old and lived in Excelsior.

"We have nothing to share at this time other than we are coping with this tragedy with overwhelming support from family, friends and a loving community," the family said in a statement. "We ask that the media respect our family's privacy and allow us to deal with our losses without future media attention or prominence."

The Associated Press reported yesterday that the US Coast Guard had suspended its search for the victims of the crash in an area of Puget Sound Northwest of Seattle.
The Coast Guard reported 10 people were on the Northwest Seaplanes flight. The body of one of the victims has been recovered.
