Check Out Minnesota’s Most Exclusive Gated Community
There are just a handful of gated communities around Minnesota. They're usually really nice, they have fancy amenities, and the houses are typically pretty pricey. And I believe I have found the most exclusive gated community in the state.

What is a Gated Community?
Realtor.com writes that a gated community "is a collection of homes that are accessible only to residents and their guests—thanks to (you guessed it) a gate or wall across any roadways in or out."
There can be some great pros to living in a gated community. Realtor.com says some of those pros include more privacy, less traffic, great amenities like pools and private exercise facilities, and regular upkeep (that you pay for with an HOA fee of course).
However, there are definitely some cons to gated communities, one of them being how expensive they are. Usually, houses in gated communities are not cheap and then you have HOA fees on top of that.

Realtor.com also points out something I've never thought about: it's harder to have people over. Communities will require guests to register ahead of time and also get gate passes before the event in order to enter the neighborhood. That sounds like a pain to have to deal with when you're already trying to plan a get-together.
Minnesota's Most Exclusive Gated Community
The gated community that I discovered that I have deemed the most exclusive in the state is the Clay Cliffe Community in Tonka Bay. It was also the first gated community to be developed in Minnesota according to the Anderson Team with RE/MAX Results.
It's on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, so right there you already know it's going to be expensive. The neighborhood is also fairly small so there isn't a ton of opportunities to buy a home there if you wanted to. There are only 18 homes in the whole community.
Oh, and if a home was for sale, not many people would be able to afford it. The most recent home that sold in the community went for $2.5 million last December. The only picture still up from the listing is this one of the dock.
Another house there was sold in the neighborhood for $5.5 million.
It looks like such a nice place to live! But at the same time, would you want to be that removed from everyone else?
