Minnesota’s First Ever Tulip Festival is Now Open

I've always been so jealous of the states that have those stunning flower festivals. You've got cherry blossoms you've got the tulip festivals. But now, we have our very own tulip festival. Finally!

Minnesota's first ever Tulip Festival kicked off the first weekend of May at Brand Farms in Farmington. The fields look so beautiful.

Minnesota's Tulip Festival at Brand Farms

Brand Farms is mainly a dairy farm but they also have eggs, honey, apples, and now these stunning flowers, too.

Throughout the month of May, they'll be open every day from 10 AM - 6 PM for their Tulip Festival until the flowers decide to stop flowering. Tulips usually flower for 1-3 weeks, according to Monsoon Flowers, and there are tons of flowers, so we have at least a few more weeks of the Tulip Festival.

There's hayrides, fun activities, delicious food and drinks for sale, a Farm Market, and, of course, the fields of tulips to walk through, smell, admire, and take lots of pictures. Their website says they have 3 acres of tulips!

They also have apple blossoms blooming right now, so it's a double whammy.

You do need to buy a ticket to get into the Tulip Festival. For Monday through Thursday it's $13.44 per person (that includes fees) and for Friday through Sunday it's $15.51 (including fees). This includes the activities and a hayride to and from the fields. There are a couple of activities that only happen on the weekends (apple cannons and paintball gallery) that cost extra.
