New Prediction Says Fall Will Arrive Early in Minnesota This Year
I hope you're ready for fall. There's a prediction out that says Minnesota may see fall sooner than other parts of the country this year.
I love fall. It's a toss-up between summer and fall as my favorite season, honestly. I really enjoy the warmth of summer and all the fun that goes with it, but nothing beats the fall colors, crisp air, and temperatures that are comfy enough to wear a sweater but no jacket is necessary.

Fall May Come Quickly to Minnesota
For those who also love fall, we may be in luck this year. AccuWeather is predicting that fall could come pretty quickly this year. I mean, have you looked at the forecast for this weekend? It's going to warm up a bit afterwards, but still.

According to a map that AccuWeather shared, Minnesota and some of our surrounding states will possibly see a quicker start to fall than usual. Along the coasts, they're expected to have a slower transition.
(You can find the map I'm talking about at 0:09.)
But what does that mean date-wise?
When it Usually Feels Like Fall in Minnesota
According to NOAA, we usually start to feel the fall-like weather around the second week of September. So AccuWeather's prediction could mean that we'll see the cooler temperatures sooner than that (again, look at the predictions for this weekend). However, it could also mean that the temperatures will just drop off very dramatically.
Honestly, both options are lining up with the weather predictions for the next couple of days. It's a dramatic drop in temperature, and it's much earlier than normal to see temps like that.
As long as fall sticks around for a bit longer than normal, I won't be too mad. I just don't need this to mean that winter will also start quickly.
