Minnesota Rep. Makes Surprising Debut in New Maroon 5 Video

As I'm watching the video trying to pick out all the celebrities, I was sure I'd seen her face before but couldn't put my finger on where... and then after a quick Google search I was correct on my first instincts on it being Ms. Omar!

Since becoming the first Somali-American Muslim to be elected in the U.S. in 2016, Rep. Ilhan Omar is now standing alongside some of the brightest stars in a new music video from one of the biggest bands in the world. Maroon 5 and Cardi B have teamed up for a remix of “Girls Like You.” Albeit briefly, you can see Omar pop up behind Adam around 3:47 in the video above.

Yeah, yeah, yeah is right!

The video features an assortment of other women dancing behind Adam Levine as he sings about girls like them. Also appearing in the video are race car driver Danica Patrick, singer/actor Jennifer Lopez, comedians Sarah Silverman &Tiffany Haddish, Olympic Gold Medalists Chloe Kim & Aly Raisman, Millie Bobby Brown, Camila Cabello, Mary J. Blidge, Ellen DeGeneres and "Wonder Woman" herself Gal Gadot just to name a few!

Way to go Ilhan Omar... and way to represent Minnesota!
