Did you see last weekend's Perseid Meteor Shower? Pretty cool, right? Or are you like me, where you always hear about some major sky event happening, make a mental note to totally check that out later, and absolutely forget about it until after it happens? Whether it's a meteor shower, a blood moon, an eclipse, or a comet, I always seem to...space it out.

But not THIS time! Because there are more meteor showers that will be visible in Minnesota this year that I will definitely 100% not forget about. I swear!

October 21

The Orionid meteor shower is projected to produce between 20-30 meteors per hour. The best time to check this out is just before dawn.

November 17

The Leonids will peak on this date, although a full moon may prevent you from seeing them.

December 14

The Geminids (also your hipster cousin's favorite band) peak on this date, and you could see between 120 to 160 meteors per hour. This is the big one.

December 22

The "Cursed Ursids" peak just before Christmas, and should produce 30 to 40 meteors per hour.
