Old Downtown Rochester Bar Gets a New Name, Opens Next Month
It sounds like renovations are on the way for a new bar, formerly The Doggery on Historic Third Street in downtown Rochester.
Per Jeff Kiger at the Post-Bulletin, a company named Bitter & Pour LLC has filed for a liquor license, which will be the new establishment located in the basement of the former bar that was a fan favorite until it closed its doors this past May after five short years.
The opening date for downtown's latest hangout is currently projected for Wednesday, August 15.
I absolutely love all the new establishments that are coming to downtown! While it's sad to see businesses like The Doggery close, I'm happy the space will still be used as a place to gather and socialize. I just hope they have their own version of an Old Fashioned that rivals some of the better ones I've had in town. If so, they'll have a return customer in me for a long time.
