Filming for “Seed of Doubt”, an independent psychological thriller movie, has started in Rochester. The film's Facebook page offers this summary: Melissa and Scott’s dream home turns into a nightmare when they take on new tenants to make ends meet. As Melissa descends into paranoia and delusion, they must fight to save their unborn child.

Producers say they "hope the film will shine a light on gaslighting, a common but often misunderstood form of emotional abuse." Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality according to psychologytoday.com.

Actors have flown in from all around the country for shooting. Get a sneak-peek behind the scenes during production on the movie's official Instagram page. The film will be released in select theaters around the country in February and a special premiere will be held in Rochester according to KAAL-TV.
