Olmsted Co. Sheriff’s Department Issues Travel Warning
We were expecting to see mixed precipitation and snow late morning through early afternoon, but the system stalled and has taken longer to move into our area. The National Weather Service says our area will still see "periods of snow developing this afternoon, heaviest from mid afternoon through early evening." Total snow accumulation across the region will range from 2 to 5 inches with the highest amounts in northeast Iowa and far southern Minnesota. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9:00 PM.
The Olmsted Co. Sheriff's Department just posted this message to Facebook, "The wintry mix and snow is about to arrive. Very poor travel conditions are being reported west of Olmsted County. Please be careful and slow down if you are driving this afternoon/evening."
