A recent survey from UrbanSitter says that the average rate across the country for a babysitter, for one child, is $17.73 an hour.

I don't have children and I haven't babysat in many years so I have absolutely no idea how accurate this number is, but it just sounds like such a high number to me!

UrbanSitter also says that if you have two kids, the average is $20.30 an hour.

Thankfully in Minnesota, the average is lower. WCCO writes that in the Twin Cities "the average ... for one child is $14; for two it’s about a $1 an hour more."

Based on the Minnesota average, what do you think? Is that about how much you pay your babysitter? Is it still too high of a price tag? Chat with us on our app and let us know!
