Once Again, IKEA Announces Dresser Recall After Death of a Child
This is getting scarier and scarier as the number of deaths keep climbing...
According to KARE 11, IKEA relaunched a recall of 29 million chests and dressers Tuesday after the death of
another child due to serious tip-over hazards if not properly anchored to the wall:
Sadly, it's the eighth child to die after he was found trapped underneath an IKEA Malm dresser back in October. The incident has since raised questions about whether IKEA has effectively spread the word about the recall, which was first announced in June 2016.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using any recalled dressers and chests that are not properly anchored to the wall.
Customers should contact IKEA for a free wall-mounting kit. The company is also offering to send crews to attach them in the home, free of charge.
If you need more assistance, you can go their website or their IKEA recall page for more information.
