You can never go wrong with pizza. It doesn't matter if it's a cheap, frozen pizza or an artisan-made pizza, I will happily eat it.

Although, woodfired pizzas are definitely the best of the best and that's what they serve up at pizza farms.

What is a Pizza Farm?

A pizza farm is a farm that serves woodfired pizzas made with ingredients that were grown right there on the farm!

Maybe they get the dough from elsewhere or the cheese, but any veggies that go on top, for example, are fresh from the farm you're eating it on. It's a really cool idea to get people connected with their local farmers.

Pizza Farms Near Rochester, Minnesota

We actually have a couple of pizza farms in southeast Minnesota. One of them is just a 15-minute drive from Rochester and the other is 40 minutes.

The first one is called Squash Blossom Farm in Oronoco.

They grow all sorts of ingredients and then serve pizzas based on whatever is fresh at the time. They also have live music on their pizza nights.

Of course, they only do pizza nights during the warmer months so keep an eye on their website for 2025 dates.

The other pizza farm is at DreamAcres in Wykoff.

They do the same as Squash Blossom Farm and serve pizzas with fresh ingredients right from the farm. They do their pizza nights every Friday during the summer.

As of right now, the dates on their website are from 2024. However, they kicked off the season on the last Friday of May so I would expect them to do something similar this year.
