Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - There are now four candidates running for a seat on the Rochester City Council.

Craig Ugland and Donavan Bailey have joined Thomas Rigby and Todd Pisarski is filing as candidates for the City Council's 6th Ward seat. A primary election will be held on August 11th to narrow the list of candidates. Incumbent Annalissa Johnson earlier announced she would not be seeking another term.

There were also some filings Friday for seats in the Minnesota House representing Rochester and surrounding areas. Democrat Kim Hicks filed to challenge Republican Duane Quam in House District 25A and Democrat Liz Boldon filed for the District 25B seat is being vacated by fellow Democrat Duane Sauke. Incumbent Democrat Tina Liebling filed for reelection in House District 26A and is currently running unopposed. Republican Nels Pierson earlier filed for another term in District 26B and has yet to have an official challenger.

The filing period for the November general election ends Tuesday afternoon.
