‘Fight Song’ Singer Visits Rochester For Special Event

Celebrity sightings aren't uncommon in Rochester. Most recently, actor David Arquette, famous for his role in the Scream franchise, was spotted around town while filming scenes across Southeast Minnesota for an upcoming movie.

Many famous names have visited Southeast Minnesota over the years for care at Mayo Clinic, and Mayo is responsible for today's celebrity visit too. But she isn't here for a checkup or specialized care. The pop star is visiting to perform an exclusive show for healthcare workers.

Famous Singer Visiting Rochester For Mayo Staff Appreciation Event

Several people reached out to me to let me know the pop singer-songwriter is performing later today at a private Mayo Clinic staff appreciation event.

Rachel Platten spent nearly a decade grinding on the music circuit, performing cover songs in small venues while working on her own material.
