Back in the day, schools all around Minnesota and the country teamed up with Pizza Hut to get kids excited about reading. 'Book-It' was the name of the program, and the little kid version of me thought it was the coolest thing ever. If you're not familiar, kids would earn personal pan pizzas for reading books.

Now, a Rochester, Minnesota brewery is using the same concept, except they're aiming to get adults reading and offering free beer and pizza as a reward. The old man version of me thinks that's the coolest thing ever.

Little Thistle Brewing is located at 2031 14th St NW in Rochester in an old truck loading dock and sits on nearly 2 acres.

The brewery has a cool vibe with an awesome outdoor space and usually has a food truck on site. The brewery is always doing something fun, and this summer, they've decided to launch a summer reading program.

Little Thistle announced this fun promotion on its Facebook page: 'Little Thistle is partnering with @firebrick_pizza for our Summer Reading Program for Grown Ups! Read 10 books over the summer and receive a card for a delicious Firebrick Pizza and get a Little Thistle beer (both valid at Little Thistle only).'

This brewery is family-friendly too, so they're going to take care of the kiddos as well. 'To keep the littles reading all summer, they’ll get a free ice cream or non-dairy treat of their choice for every 10 books they read!'
