With a heavy heart, we must say goodbye to Revival. It’s no secret owning a restaurant is one of the toughest journeys, and it truly breaks our hearts to take this step.

Customers were shocked to read that announcement on Instagram last January. Many found it hard to believe that a popular restaurant, known for its incredible fried chicken, would no longer be around. Now, the brand is making a comeback with new owners.

Revival abruptly closed its four Twin Cities locations in January. Fox 9 credited the restaurant with igniting the ‘hot chicken’ trend in Minneapolis, noting that at its peak, there were lines down the block and hours-long waits.

The Instagram post announcing the closure thanked loyal customers:

“For nearly a decade, you have been the heartbeat of this place. We are profoundly grateful to every one of you who supported us and brought joy to our days. We will forever hold Revival in our hearts and had so much fun along the way. Thank you for being part of our story.”

The restaurant is making a comeback. Jester Concepts, a Twin Cities restaurant group, has purchased the Revival brand and all of its recipes, according to Bring Me The News.

A physical location has not been announced, but Revival’s food truck is expected to be operating by the end of the month, and their chicken will once again be available inside US Bank Stadium during Minnesota Vikings games.
