Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The unemployment rate in the Rochester area edged upward last month.

The latest jobs data from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development put the jobless rate for Olmsted County in November at 2.1-percent. That is up a tenth of a point from October and is three-tenths above the unemployment rate reported for November of last year.

The jobless rate for Olmsted County was the lowest in southeastern Minnesota, where every county saw an increase last month. Wabasha County reported the largest increase at almost a full percentage point, but Freeborn County had the highest rate in the region at 3.3-percent.
