Rochester City Council Approves Bus Rapid Transit Proposal
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Planning for a proposed major DMC-related transportation project can move ahead.
The Rochester City Council Monday night gave its approval to what’s called a bus rapid transit system that would connect two transit hubs to downtown locations.
The preferred route for the circulator system is the South Broadway and 2nd St. SW corridors.
Transit stations are also expected to be developed as part of the system. Plans call for an operational date in 2025.
