The American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge program provides a free place for cancer patients and their caregivers to call home while they receive treatment. The Hope Lodge in Rochester opened in 1999 and has 60 guest rooms. They say support from volunteers and local organizations is critical. The non-profit just received a generous donation from a local company.

A portion of Haley Comfort Systems' sales during their anniversary celebration earlier this year was set aside to donate. And, earlier this week the Rochester company was able to present Hope Lodge with a $31,200 check.

Tom Haley said, “It means a lot that we are able to donate to an organization such as the Hope Lodge. The cause really strikes home to not only our family but also to our employees. In fact, one of our long term employees was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer this year and is fighting the battle currently!”
