There's nothing better than getting some fresh produce from the Rochester Farmers Market in the summer and fall, but you won't be able to do that on 4th Street in the Med City this year.

Now, you'll still be able to visit the Rochester Farmers Market, mind you, you just won't find it in its previous location. Because the Rochester Farmers Market is moving. It had been located along 4th Street Southeast, near Government Center and across the Zumbro River from Mayo Park and the Civic Center in downtown Rochester.

According to a post on the Farmers Market Facebook page, the market is moving locations later this summer to Graham Park, at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds. The post explained why:

The Rochester Farmers Market is moving this summer to @mygrahampark (Olmsted County Fairgrounds)!
.
Our farmers have voted, and we want to provide our customers with better parking, safer crossing, and more room to shop.
.
We look forward to growing our market with all of you and thank you for your support! See you at @mygrahampark THIS Saturday and THIS SUMMER!

My wife and I have been to the Rochester Farmers Market many times and finding parking WAS kind of a challenge. So was crossing 4th Street, which can be pretty busy at times. So, I'm thinking this new location should be a better fit. You'll still be able to get all that fresh, locally-sourced produce the market is famous for, but now in a new location.
