Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - For the second time this week, Rochester police responded early today to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of 8 1/2 Street Southeast.

The first shooting Wednesday evening did not result in any injuries but Police Lieutenant Tom Faudskar says the officers that responded to the home just before 1 o'clock this morning found a 38-year-old man had been shot in the chest. He was transported to St. Mary's hospital for treatment of what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Lieutenant Faudskar says there was a different intended victim in a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening and investigators are working to connect the two incidents. He says they have identified some possible suspects but there have not been any arrests.
