Cafe Steam is Moving Their Discovery One Location

Cafe Steam's Discovery One location in Rochester, Minnesota is my go-to when I need coffee during the work day. I may be biased though because we're right across the street from them. But when I heard that that location is going to be moving I'm not going to lie, I panicked a little.

Sometimes I need a little extra boost later in the morning or early afternoon and when I do I pop over to Cafe Steam. Which is why I panicked when I heard they're moving because I thought "oh my gosh, now I'll need to walk longer than a few feet to get coffee?!"

Thankfully, that's not the case. Although, I will need to walk a few MORE feet than usual once they move. Because they're just moving over to Discovery Two.

I chatted with one of their baristas, Austin, in passing quickly today and asked about the move. He said it's not going to happen for a little while because they still have a lot of construction to do. I found on the Post Bulletin that the plan is to move sometime this fall with construction starting this summer.

(Side note: The Night Howler *chef's kiss* so good.)

You know when you go to the Discovery One Cafe Steam that the seating area is connected to the new Discovery Two building? They'll just be moving to the other side of that door.
