Rochester Police Trying To Find Motorist Who Struck Woman
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Police Dept. is trying to locate the driver of a vehicle that made contact with a woman while she was crossing a street Wednesday.
The woman was walking east in the crosswalk at the northwest intersection of the 2nd St SW bridge over Highway 52 around 6:30 am when a car bumped her and she fell onto the hood of the vehicle.
The woman continued walking to work but later in the day began experiencing pain in one of her legs. She sought medical treatment and decided to report the incident to police.
Capt. Casey Moilanen says the female driver of the car may have assumed the woman was not hurt and decided not to stop and check. He says the woman who was hurt needs the driver's insurance information.
