Rochester Woman Sentenced for Drug-Related Robbery
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman has been sentenced to 10-years on probation for her role in a drug-related robbery last summer.
20-year-old Ashley Heckman was also given a stayed sentence of just over 4 years in prison that could be imposed if she gets into trouble while on probation. She entered a guilty plea to a first-degree aggravated robbery charge last November in connection with an incident that occurred at the Parkside Mobile Home Park in southeast Rochester last August.
She and 20-year-old John Lockett were arrested after a man and woman from Winona reported they had been beaten and robbed during what was supposed to have been a meeting to purchase some marijuana. A 3rd man, 22-year-old Batri Ismail, is accused of pointing a gun at the head of the Winona man during the robbery and the police reports on the incident indicated the gun ended up being fired into the floor of a vacant mobile home during a struggle between the victim and the robbers, who ended up fleeing with his cell phone and cash.
Lockett previously pleaded guilty and was given the same sentence as Heckman. Batri recently entered a guilty plea to a robbery charge and is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
