Rochesterfest Proivdes Update on Friday Festivities
Rochesterfest announced this morning that they have made changes to today's festivities at Soldier's Field.
Why Was Rochesterfest Canceled?
Rochesterfest organizers decided to cancel yesterday's (Thursday's) events due to the impending severe weather threat. Good thing they did, too, because there were some serious downpours that happened and tornado warnings.
I've seen lots of posts on social media about flooding in parts of Rochester. Also, while I was watching KTTC's live coverage, they were worried for a little while that downtown Rochester might be in the path of a tornado.

Thankfully, that tornado did not develop in Rochester. Even so, I can't imagine how chaotic it would have been if you were caught out at Rochesterfest during the storm yesterday.

Long story short, it was definitely a good call for the organizers to cancel Rochesterfest (same props go to the organizers of Thursdays Downtown for canceling, too).
However, this has caused a change to Rochesterfest for today (Friday).
