Southeast Minnesota Road Conditions – Wednesday, Nov. 6th

Snow fell across the southern portion of our state overnight creating slick conditions on area roads and highways. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9:00AM with the possibility of 2 additional inches of snow.

Allow yourself plenty of extra time to reach your destination this morning. MnDOT's road report at 7:00AM showed all roads in our area completely covered with snow and several crashes have already occurred. Real time road-conditions are available on our mobile app. The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office recently shared some safe driving tips which include obvious things like turning your headlights on, slowing down, and avoiding cruise control.

The snow is expected to taper off mid-morning and road conditions should quickly improve. Your evening commute should be no problem.
