Spooky Cornhole Tournament Planned for Halloween Day in Rochester
The American Cancer Society is hosting its first-ever NovemBEARD Spooky Cornhole tournament on Halloween day at LTS Brewery in Rochester. The tournament starts that morning at 11:00 AM and teams of two can register onsite prior to the event.
The entry fee is $50 per team and the tournament will have a double-elimination format. All proceeds from the event will be going towards the NovemBEARD campaign which is associated with the American Cancer Society.
NovemBEARD is a campaign that encourages men to grow their facial hair in November with the goal of starting conversations and raising cancer awareness.
According to their site, the American Cancer Society "provides programs and services to help Minnesotans manage cancer treatment and recovery and find the emotional support they need. And best of all, our help is free." To date, there have been over 33,000 new cases of cancer in Minnesota this year.
