Taylor Swift is a Football Girlie, 'Drawing Up Plays' for Chiefs

Taylor Swift is "really interested in football".

The 34-year-old pop sensation is dating NFL star Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes - Travis' teammate on the Kansas City Chiefs - has revealed that Swift actually has really good knowledge of the sport.

"She’s really interested in football. She asks a lot of great questions," the 28-year-old athlete told NBC Sports' Chris Simms.

The NFL star subsequently explained that the "Karma" singer has developed a keen interest in the strategic side of the sport.

Mahomes, who won the Super Bowl alongside Kelce in February, said: "She’s been drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in."

Kelce has become one of the most talked-about athletes in the world since he began dating Swift in 2023, and Mahomes noted that the pop star has helped to make the Kansas City Chiefs a "worldwide team".

"[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor’s fanbase," he said.

He also admitted to being wowed by the pop icon's down-to-earth attitude and her work ethic, explaining that she's always "working on something".

"I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long," Mahomes stated.

"She’s never not working. Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks," he added.
