Before the Eras Tour: Taylor Swift’s Forgotten Minnesota State Fair Show

The Minnesota State Fair draws more than 2 million visitors each year and is consistently ranked as one of the top state fairs in the country. People flock to the fairgrounds to check out agricultural exhibits, get up close with farm animals, have fun on the Midway rides, and eat a bunch of delicious food.

Live music and entertainment is also a big attraction. The Minnesota State Fair offers 900 free performances over it's 12-day run and the Grandstand lineup is always packed with music icons. Long before she was an icon, Taylor Swift took that very stage.

Today, Swift is arguably the most famous person on the planet, but back in 2007, she was a 17-year-old rising star just starting to make waves. Her self-titled debut album had dropped the previous year, with hits like "Our Song" and "Tim McGraw," and now the teenager was traveling the country.

Swift rolled into the Great Minnesota Get-Together on August 23rd, 2007 and performed as Brad Paisley's opening act. Taylor treated fairgoers to an incredible 7-song setlist. According to setlist.fm she opened the show with an Eminem cover:
