Apparently the nation’s bacon supply is running low - at it's lowest amount in the last 50 years. The Ohio Pork Council says demand is outpacing supply!

Rich Deaton, president of the OPC told USA Today, “Today’s pig farmers are setting historic records by producing more pigs than ever. Yet our reserves are still depleting.”

What does this mean for you? Higher prices at the grocery store.

Deaton promised the pork industry will not run out of bacon but warned that consumers will see higher prices, "While bacon may become more expensive for consumers, rest assured the pork industry will not run out of supply.”
