Must Haves for a Wisconsin Dream Home

My family is beyond blessed to have a newly built lake house in Wisconsin to stay at any time we want. The lake is most definitely my happy place, and I wouldn't change a single thing about it, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun to dream about what a Wisconsin dream home would look like!

Here are my must-haves for a Wisconsin dream home;

• Located ON a lake so you have easy water access.
• Lots of windows.
• Several outdoor recreation options.
• A big bar with lots of refrigerator room
• A game and/or theater room so we have fun things to do when the weather conditions are less than ideal.
• Lots of bedrooms for friends and family to use when visiting.
• All the fun water toys like boats, jet skis, tubes, kayaks, etc.

If money were no object, finding a Wisconsin dream home that has all my must haves would be pretty easy to find, and a pretty awesome option is currently for sale in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Never Judge a House By Its Outside

Whenever I'm hard-core into real estate fantasy mode, Zillow Gone Wild is one of my favorite places to check out, and the page recently highlighted a home for sale in New Berlin, Wisconsin that looks like this on the outside...

The price tag on this New Berlin home is $1,450,000, and although it is definitely not horrible to look at, you will surely be surprised when you see what it looks like inside.

Let's see how many of my must-have items this Wisconsin home features...

Located on water? ✔️

This home is not only located on the water, it's located on a PRIVATE lake with over 17 acres of land surrounding it.

Lots of windows? ✔️

There are over 18 windows on just ONE side of the home!

Several outdoor recreation options? ✔️❓

This home has fire pits, walking paths, a private beach, and more, BUT it doesn't look like skiing, tubing, and jet skiing can be done on the private lake, so now I've changed my mind. It gets a big red X from me.

A big bar with lots of refrigerator room? ✔️❓

The listing shows a big kitchen with cool barstools, but it doesn't mention specifically that it has a bar area. I don't think the refrigerator room will be a problem, but I think this is a red X situation as well.

Game and/or theater room? ✔️

This home does have 2 game rooms offering several fun options, AND it has an indoor pool area too!

Lots of bedrooms for visiting family and friends? ✔️

The home actually has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, so sleeping space is definitely not an issue.

The most Intriguing Features of This Home

This New Berlin home certainly meets several of the criteria for a Wisconsin lake house dream home, but its best feature is the major money-making potential that comes with it. The Zillow listing says;

Cash flow like crazy with the ultimate Airbnb/VRBO. Nearly 400k of updates have been done to this property.
