So when I found out that Minnesota isn't one of the top states for registered hunters I was really surprised!

Despite not being a hunter myself, I at least knew of quite a few families who would go hunting. Also, we're such an outdoorsy state and hunting is an outdoorsy sport I thought for sure we'd be up in the top 10 if not the top 5.

When the data was collected, 9.8% of Minnesotans had a paid-for hunting license (or 550,087 people).

The state that has the most registered hunters had a whopping 24.1% of their residents with a hunting license. However, it's a smaller state, so the total number of people who had a license at the time the data was collected was 212,736.

Here are all of the states ranked based on the number of registered hunters per capita. I'm curious to see what you think of the state who beat us!
