Minneapolis (KROC-AM News) - Two men were shot and killed during the overnight hours in Minneapolis this weekend.

The first incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. Saturday when Minneapolis Police received multiple reports of gunshots. The victim, who authorities said was in his late 20s, was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds in the 2600 block of South Cedar Avenue. He was transported to the hospital where he died.

Police believe the victim was shot in the 2500 block before collapsing down the street.

The second incident occurred just a few hours later around 12:20 a.m. Sunday. Police found a man in his 30s with fatal gunshot wounds near West 14th Street and Willow Steet.

No arrests have been made for either incident. Both shootings are under investigation.

Police said these were the 37th and 38th homicide investigations of the year.
