Two Great Oktoberfest Events to Check Out This Weekend!

New Ulm is home to the Schell's Brewery, and you can expect some of the festivities to take place there. Also, in Historic Downtown, Best Western Plus and Morgan Creek Vineyards. The celebration kicks off with the official keg opening on Friday evening, a tradition that is still practiced today in Germany’s Oktoberfests. The food and music continue late into the night on both Fridays and both Saturdays of Oktoberfest. There will also be a parade Saturday morning at 11am (both weekends).

Throw on your lederhosen, grab a friend and head to the 120 year old Progress Center building at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. Snack on traditional Oktoberfest foods, watch performances from traditional dance entertainers, play games, check out the vendors and traditional clothing, plots lots of beer!
