Weather Closings and Delays for Wednesday, April 10, 2019

As of 8:00 AM Wednesday, the National Weather Service was predicting rain, freezing rain and only light snow (1 - 3 inches?) for SE Minnesota through Friday. But some areas in SW Minnesota could receive up to 2 feet of snow. Below are the school closings, delays and other weather announcements for Wednesday, April 10, 2019

Schools:

• Albert Lea Area Schools: Dismissing 2 hours Early
• Austin Public Schools: Releasing early. CLC at 11:30; rest of the district on normal early release schedule.
• Blooming Prairie Public Schools: Closing at 12:46 PM
• Chatfield Public Schools: Closing at 12:30 Elementary 12:40 High School No Activities
• Dover-Eyota Public Schools: Closing at 1:00 PM
• Fillmore Central Public Schools: Closing at 1:30 PM; SAC and daycare will be open
• Fillmore County DAC: Closing at 1:30 PM
• Hayfield Community Schools: Closing at 12:30 PM; SACC open
• NRHEG Public Schools: Closing at 12:30 PM
• Pine Island Public Schools: Dismissing 1 hour Early; No Evening Activities
• Rochester Catholic Schools: No Evening Activities; All practices and games canceled
• Rochester Center for Autism: Closing at 1:00 PM
• Rosa Parks Charter High School, Rochester: Closing at 12:00 PM
• Rushford-Peterson Public Schools: Closing at 1:00 PM; No Evening Activities
• Rochester Public Schools:
  • All after-school activities & athletics and night school at the ALC are canceled for this evening. This includes all athletics/activities practices and games.
  • SACC will remain open until 6pm at all elementary buildings.
  • Hawthorne Education Center will be open as scheduled.
  • As of now, all evening community education classes are still on as scheduled. Please call Community Education’s Inclement Weather Line at (507) 328-4010 for more information.
• Stewartville Public Schools: Dismissing 2 hours Early; Activities cancelled. Tiger Time open.

• Chatfield United Methodist Church: No Evening Activities
• Chatfield United Methodist Church: Wednesday evening activities canceled tonight.
• Christ Lutheran Church, Preston: No Evening Activities; No supper, confirmation, Lenten service or council
• Christ United Methodist Church: Open tonight. Victor Vieth program at 6pm canceled.
• East Freeborn Lutheran Church, Albert Lea : Lenten services are canceled for April 10
• Elstad and Highland Prairie Lutheran Churches: No Lenten service this evening
• Greenfield Lutheran Church, Harmony: No Evening Activities; No Soup Supper, No activities, No Council Meeting
• Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Rochester: No evening activities or classes Wednesday night
• Oasis Church, Rochester: No Evening Activities
• Trinity Lutheran Church, West Concord: Seder Supper and Worship canceled this evening & is postponed to 4/18/2019, Maundy Thursday at 6pm
