A new bag policy plus a couple of other new things are coming to the Xcel Energy Center in the coming weeks.

First off, the new bag policy. This policy has been in place for Wild games but now it'll be in effect for all events at the Xcel Energy Center. You are only allowed to bring in a clear bag, a clear gallon-sized storage bag, or a purse or wallet that's about the size of your hand (not including the handle). I know this is either the same as or at least very similar to the bag policy at U.S. Bank Stadium. This new policy takes effect on October 15th.

Then we have another new policy which is a new re-entry policy. WCCO reports that "the venue will also no longer allow guests to leave and re-enter for any reason, including to smoke." This policy will take effect starting Monday.

They also mentioned that there will be some spots at the Xcel Energy Center that will now only accept credit cards, gift cards, Google Pay, or Apple Pay. That takes effect on September 12th
