Your First Look Inside Rochester’s All New Fresh Thyme
Everyone wants to eat healthy, but the number one complaint: it's too expensive. When I walked into Fresh Thyme knowing that it is an organic grocery store, I expected to have a little sticker shock. I'm so happy to share with you all that I had sticker shock, but not in the way you'd expect. And I'm even more excited for the grand opening after getting a peek inside. Wait until you see the pictures (below).
The first thing you see when you walk into the door, a liquor store. There isn't anything on the shelves yet, so I can't say what you can expect to pay for wine and beer, but it's a good size shop that will have a variety to chose from.
Moving along through the store, you'll find an amazing assortment of fresh bread and baked goods. They have an incredible grab-and-go section that even features made-fresh-daily, sushi, cut to order Boarshead meat - rotisserie chicken, fish, pizza, prepped meals and more. There's also a place to sit down and eat, drink your coffee, and/or enjoy free wifi.
They have their own coffee and juice bar. I keep preaching these prices, but when you see the coffee prices, you'll know what I mean. I'm talking $2.99 for a 16 ounce Frappe. RIGHT?!
Another cool point in the store - the bulk section. You can buy bulk oil, bulk honey, bulk coffee, bulk candy, bulk peanut butter. You can even grind your own peanut/almond/etc butter.
The store is pretty large, so we aren't done yet. What else will you find? Protein powders, supplements, organic cosmetics, pet food, cleaning supplies and so much more.
One of my favorite things about the store is how it's decorated. It's like Chip and Joanna did it themselves.
And, they're hiring. From cashier to baker to management and everything in between. Get an on-the-spot interview at their job fair Friday (Dec 14th) from 11a - 7p or Saturday from 9a - 2p.
Fresh Thyme officially opens in Rochester on January 9th.
