Rochester Rapper Yung Gravy Added to Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Lineup
A big announcement came from the Minnesota State Fair this morning. Rapper and, more importantly, Rochester, Minnesota native Yung Gravy will be performing at the grandstand this summer!
It's really cool to have a celebrity from Minnesota, it's a whole other thing when they're from your town, and then they come to perform back in their home state. I anticipate that this will be a popular show.
Yung Gravy Performing at the Minnesota State Fair
Yung Gravy is joining Duran Duran and The Chicks on the Minnesota State Fair's grandstand lineup. Of course, that means there will be other shows added later so I'll be interested to see who else they get to come to the fair.
Tickets to See Yung Gravy at the MN State Fair
If you'd like to see our local guy perform at the grandstand, tickets for his show go on sale this Friday, March 3rd. The prices start at $29, then $39, $49, and $64 will get you general admission into the pit. He'll be performing on Wednesday, August 30th.
Wait, Yung Gravy's from Rochester?
So in case you live under a rock, yes, Yung Gravy is from Rochester! He went to Mayo High School and graduated in 2014 then went on the UW-Madison and graduated from there in December of 2017.
His first big break was also in 2017 when his song 'Mr. Clean' went crazy on SoundCloud. Then last year was when things really blew up for him with 'Betty (Get Money)'.
I literally only know his song 'Betty' but I think because he's from here it would be really fun to see him perform. I feel like seeing an artist in their home state is a different energy.
