The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been granting wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions since 1980.  They've provided extravagant gifts, trips, and even arranged celebrity meetings.12 year-old Lucas Hobbs from Eagan wasn't interested in any of that. He wanted to use his wish to show his appreciation of those who helped him in his time of need

Seven months ago, Lucas was battling Stage 3 Hodgkin lymphoma at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. The treatments helped him beat the cancer into remission.

To give back the boy used his wish to organize several food trucks to serve some unique  dishes to the patients and staff at the Children's Hospital where he was treated.

Lucas wants to be a chef so this provided him the chance to show off his culinary skills.  He created a cherry flavored ice cone called the "Blood Transfusion," and a special hot dog, the "Perkins Dog" named after his oncologist, Dr. Joanna Perkins.
