There was a robbery  early this Saturday morning at the Holiday Gas station on 7th and north Broadway.

According to the Rochester Police, the call came in around 1:15 am from the clerk who was able to give them a description plus a license number.  He said the man did not show a weapon, but threatened the clerk if he did not cooperate.  He took off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The vehicle was spotted a short time later and officers pursued it on about a five minute chase  through town, ending up when the suspect fled his car at 2nd street and 9th avenue northwest jumping into Cascade Creek where he was apprehended.  The 38 year old Rochester man’s name has not been released pending charges.
