Med City Marathon Results

This year's Med City Marathon was my second full marathon and despite the rain it was a blast. I came down with a nasty chest cold last week and wasn't even sure if I was going to run until Saturday morning. I'm glad I did because I beat my previous best time. 8:59 splits!

I'd like to thank my wife and son for providing my motivation.

They traveled to various points along the course to watch and cheer me on. Our 9-month old really enjoyed watching the runners and spectators and at some point during the marathon he learned how to clap his hands. This might not be a big deal to you but seeing him clap for the first time was definitely the highlight of my day. As I neared the end of the race I spotted them on the sidelines and had to grab my boy and take him across the finish line with me.
