(KROC AM News) -- The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate a crash that claimed the life of a Rochester teenager and seriously injured two others Friday afternoon north of Cannon Falls on Highway 52.

According to the State Patrol, 16 year old Sahra Ahmed of Rochester was pronounced dead at the scene and four other Rochester teens were hurt, two seriously.

The State Patrol reported the car in which she was riding was heading north on highway 52 when it veered onto the shoulder, then over corrected, going across all lanes, and then rolled after colliding with a vehicle in the southbound lane.  

Sarha was ejected from the car along with 16-year-old Suad Ahmed and 14-year-old Edna Ahmed. Those two are listed in serious condition at St Paul Regions Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle 18-year-old Affey Asdiraham and another passenger, 17-year-old Ali Mustaf, both from Rochester, were taken to St. Mary's in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries. There were two Farmington residents in the southbound car. They both suffered non-life threatening injuries.
