Shooting in SE Rochester Neighborhood

The Rochester Police Department is investigating another shooting, the second in as many days. Officers were sent to a residence in the 2800 block of Knollwood Drive southeast just after midnight after neighbors called 911 to report hearing several gunshots.

A spokesman says a party had been held at the residence and while the young adults were leaving, an altercation broke out as a vehicle drove by.  Someone in the vehicle fired a gun into the air several times before it drove away..  Officers found some shell casings at the scene but at last report, had not made any arrests.

The other incident took place Tuesday afternoon in the 400 block of 14th street southeast, near the county fairgrounds.  Witnesses told police some shots were fired during an altercation involving at least a dozen people, but the group had dispersed by the time officers arrived.  No injuries were reported.
