5 Sneaky Ways To Workout With Kids In Rochester
I know how hard it is to try and get work, family, life in let alone "me" time for working out. So I've found ways that you can INCLUDE your kids while you get your workout in right here in Rochester. Kids have fun, you get a sweat session, everyone wins!
This week is #NationalExerciseWithYourKids Week so I'm helping you celebrate by getting you moving with your kids!
My kids really love this activity. The A Clip & Go Pass Day Pass is great for our random adventures and lack of climbing experiences so we can just enjoy the adventure. You and your kids could race each other to the top. It's harder than you think. Open Daily!
This has quickly become my favorite place and I'm considering a year family membership! Even chasing around my 3 year old I can bounce from one square to the next or bounce while they are playing. If you have a minute to get away, try your hand at the challenge course or warp wall! There is something for all ages here. Read my review first!
It's the perfect family event. You can have fun and work out a little sibling rivalry all at the same time. It's Rochester's only Archery Combat arena. It's NOT paintball but just as exhilarating. Enjoy Nerf Wars and Foam Tip Archery battles in an arena with fun targets, inflatables and music. Check out their "Pay What You Want" day coming up August 18th.
Swimming is an AWESOME way to combine a cool summer activity while also using all sorts of muscles! From climbing the stairs to the water slide, scaling the rock wall or swimming from end to end (or catching kids), you will all have a fun time. Open swim 12:00pm – 8:00pm Daily.
The Playground ..... any playground.
Yes, I'm serious. Not only is this free but they are easily accessible, your kids are already begging you to go and seriously you can get a great workout. You will often find my doing step-ups or tricep dips on the bench or even using my kids swingset for my own version of suspension training. Check out my #WorkoutWednesday craziness!
Whatever you do, have fun with your kids and enjoy getting some activity all together!
