If you've never experienced that crispy crust, along with the most heavenly of sauces that comes with a Heggies Pizza, then it’s about time you head down to your favorite watering hole and try it.

Originating out of a garage near Lake Mille Lacs in the late 1980s, it seems these pizzas are getting a fine-dining upgrade of sorts.

According to City Pages, Doug Flicker, who's a big deal when it comes to food in the Twin Cities, will be giving the Minnesota cult-favorite pizza some new flavors.

While Heggies hasn't yet revealed what new flavors are coming, Mpls-St. Paul Mag reports that the first new pie will be a Mexican pizza. "El Jefe" is topped with chorizo, cheddar, mozzarella, spicy sauce, jalapenos, and black olives. Yum!

More details will be announced in the coming weeks, and the pizzas will launch later this summer/fall.
