Just a few days left. Will you be getting coal in your stocking?

Forbes magazine has put together a list of thirteen habits that make people likeable. That's kind of important, because according to a lot of different versions of the holiday classic, this is The Most Wonderful Time of The Year.

No one wants to be that person. You know, the one that ruins it for everybody else. I know I don't want to be that guy. Do you? That guy, or that lady? Nope. Ending up on Santa's naughty list.

Now you've probably heard that phrase that if you're doing something "right", you're probably not going to be liked. If you're boss is doing his job right, you're not going to be friends. Respectable, but maybe not so much Likeable.

Well, according to Forbes, maybe you can be both. You can do your job well; be right and likeable at the same time.

One likeable quality is to Ask Questions. That shows when you are having a conversation with someone you're actually listening. How many times have you been busted by your significant other, with that person saying, "What did I just say?"

Another quality is to Put Your Phone Away. Are your kids like my kids? You can't tell where the iTouch or the iPhone ends and their face begins! It's like a part of their anatomy! This is another habit that shows you're actually paying attention to someone else.

Likeable people Smile. A lot of the habits and qualities on Forbes list are all about how you and I make the people around us feel. Simple things like body language, the way we talk; if we draw more attention to ourselves, if we're judgmental, determines if we're likeable. If people want to be around us.

Pretty much the difference between a gift card, or fruit cake, and a maybe a bottle of your favorite adult beverage for Christmas.

So, think you're on Santa's nice list this year? Are you getting coal in your stocking?
