What started out as an April Fool's joke on Culver's social media page last year turned into a reality for one day only after Culver's fans petitioned for it. 20% of its restaurants set a single-day sales record. Wow, you would think they would always have that on the menu if it is that popular.

Well, this very Wisconsin-type burger is coming back on the menu but for a limited time only. So what is it really called? It is dubbed the "Curderburger" if that gives you any kind of hint. Yes, that's right a special cheese curd crown on top of a hamburger patty!

The "Curderburger" returns on October 12 and could be on the menu until the end of the month if they do not run out before then. Here is the deal it is a Deluxe ButterBurger (beef patty, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, and mayo) topped by a crown of golden fried cheese which is a specially made, burger-sized cheese curd. Of course, you can choose your own toppings and you can also get them without beef, but if you do that you might as well just order cheese curds right?

According to the Green Bay Gazette (Paywall) Quinn Adkins, Culver’s director of menu development, said the reason they have one giant cheese curd is:  "Spoiler alert, it's very difficult to eat. You take one bite and you've got cheese curds falling all over your lap."  Makes sense to me and I am going to mark that date on my calendar and try one for myself!
