Several inches of snow fell across the region from Monday night through Tuesday afternoon and once the snow stopped the wind really picked up. Blowing and drifting snow has created a real mess on area roads. At 5:20 AM the Minnesota Department of Transportation reported that most roads in Southeast Minnesota are completely covered with snow and ice. Plan accordingly by allowing yourself extra time to reach your destination safely. You can expect slick conditions on your commute and poor visibility at times.

Several schools in our area are delayed. Find the complete list of weather announcements here. And for up to the minute road conditions, download our app.
