I feel like I've been saying this constantly: Everything is getting so expensive! It seems like everything is going up in price.

Dollar Tree isn't immune to these price increases, unfortunately, and it appears their plan to increase prices will hit Minnesota stores soon if they haven't already.

Dollar Tree Pricing Changes

Remember when going to get something at Dollar Tree meant that it was all actually a $1, or at least pretty close to a dollar? Those were the days.

Now, there's nothing that you can get for just a dollar at Dollar Tree anymore. In 2021, they increased their prices to $1.25 and now, just a few years later, they may be increasing the prices again.

Not only that, but Dollar Tree is also selling items for $3, $5, and $7 in their stores now.

Dollar Tree Plus Items

These items are what they call their Dollar Tree Plus items. They've added Dollar Tree Plus items at over 5,000 stores across the country to "provide customers with even greater deals".

Dollar Tree Prices Going Up

Now people are starting to notice in certain stores that they're finding more and more items at $1.50 and not $1.25.

Last year, Dollar Tree's CEO said:

"This year, across 3,000 stores, we expect to expand our multi-price assortment by over 300 items at price points ranging from $1.50 to $7".

And it appears that the $1.50 minimum is starting to really hit stores now.

The Daily Dot shared some TikToks from shoppers spotting $1.50 price tags everywhere. Another says that as of March 27th, 2025, the lowest price you'll be able to find at Dollar Tree's will be $1.50.

Yes it's only 25 cents, but as @juliaa.vids on TikTok said, "it truly adds up".
